We live in a bold new world where commericals train people on how to behave, live, and look. Sometimes I’m surpised what goes on, then other times I’m not. I saw this the other night on primetime TV, normally I just fast foward through the commericals (DVR), but that day I was rewarded with this short commerical.
Mow Down!
Edit: That wasn’t the commercial, this was! They both have the same message!
I love downloadsquad.com, they always find me stuff I can use. Today, they showed me Space Sniffer – a really nice visual tool that shows you where all your drive space is being used and by what.
I don’t know what to say, but it keeps me coming back for a laugh. I was trying to find a new game to play the other day – watching trailers, etc. I came across Stalin vs Martians, a cheap real time strategy type. It’s really nothing special. Absolutely nothing special about this. I assure you.
I had this article saved for a month and figured I might as well post it before I somehow lost it forever. Back in the day I freely admit I did some experimenting with drugs, one of the biggest things I remember was I always thought Ecstasy/MDMA should be used to help people; people with real issues – traumatized, depression, etc. The only problem I see, Humans would just abuse the hell out of it – sorta like they do now.
Gulp.
A small quote from the link:
“It’s basically like years of therapy in two or three hours. You can’t understand it until you’ve experienced it,” a former Army Ranger who took part in a recent study said in an interview
I was super happy this morning to read this PC World article by Thomas Wailgum. I agree with all his points on everything I hate about the technology field… !
Hate not Love
I know I’ll have a use for this sometime in the future, I’m postive I’ve probably had a use of it sometime in the past. Sharing USB devices between machines; printers, scanners, stuff like that. Maybe you’ll find it useful as well.
I find a lot of people asking me if I can install the few licenses of photoshop/painshop pro (we own) on some other peoples machines. Sure I could, but then I’d be breaking the law – and honestly, they don’t really need these programs to do what they want to do. In leu of this, I’ve listed some free alternatives that will work just as well and won’t cost them a dime. Everyone loves free.
GIMP Fotografix
This little program might not be for everyone as it really tends to help those using higher resolutions (1650×1080, 1920×1200, etc). It brings order to all your open windows and tiles them so they can all be visable at the same time on the desktop. Go back a few years, I was really dying for this application – I can’t remember what I was doing though that I needed it so badly. I have to give some props to mrmookid for sending me the link.
Boot it!
I recently created my installation Vista 64 DVD on my USB flashdrive, as it’s much faster to install and I don’t have to press eject on my DVDrom drive. It wasn’t that much of a pain to get it going, however there were a number of steps, following a guide I found off google. Thanks for Downloadsquad.com, they found a tool created by lexar that takes all the pain away. Now I can purge all the stuff I learned the other day and feel more obsolte today!
Pacman was a wonderful game; it instilled great values among our youth for years. Eat the dots, get the power up, Eat the Ghost, Eat Some Fruit Occasionally, and then repeat the process. Most of this time, your chased by those ghosts just like in real life, but when you get that power up… boy those ghosts are in trouble.
Pacman's real skull.
